The JW Marriott was one of the first resort hotels in Cancun to reopen in June 2020.
The reopening follows Marriott’s “Commitment to Clean” health and safety protocols. Marriott’s protocols are in addition to the “Sanitation and Cleaning Protocols” standards established by the Quintana Roo government.
Prior to closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the JW Marriott Cancun had undergone a $40 million dollar renovation of all of its guest rooms and suites.
The resort hotel features four swimming pools, a luxury spa, multiple restaurants and other amenities.
All of the guest rooms in this 447 room hotel have either a view facing the ocean or the lagoon.
Guests staying at the JW Marriott can also take advantage of the restaurants and services provided by its sister property, the Marriott Cancun, right next door. Both properties are connected via a covered indoor walkway and shared convention space.
The JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa offers numerous upscale amenities including spacious, sand-toned accommodations and on-site dining. There is also an onsite concierge and tour services desk providing access to local excursions and destinations.
The resort features both family-friendly and adults-only infinity pools.
The on-site fitness center features both cardio equipment and free weights. Fitness, yoga and other wellness classes are available outside each day. If you wish to simply relax, the on-site spa offers an ample menu of therapeutic treatments. Other fitness and wellness amenities include tennis courts, steam room and an indoor pool.
If you are in need of an event space, the JW Marriott has over 20,236 square feet of event space making it a good choice for destination weddings and company-wide conferences.
For those looking to redeem Marriott Bonvoy Rewards points, the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa is a Category 6 property.
